SUNDAY SESSIONS WITH DADÉ
Join DADÉ for a concert in the Tivoli Room, featuring a mix of original music and improvised songs inspired by the moment. DADÉ features Nathan Bickart (keyboards) and Marshall Williams (drums): the duo performs music from across the jazz and soul spectrum, integrating an eclectic set of influences ranging from J Dilla to Ahmad Jamal to Adrianne Lenker. Enjoy some new music in a casual setting- listeners are encouraged to come and go as they please, or dance on the sidewalk, or just slow down for a moment as you walk by!
SUNDAY SESSIONS have no cover charge. Performer donations are accepted.
Bio:
DADÉ begins by gathering artifacts, goofing around, laughing, dancing, giving space to possibility, and continues by playfully nurturing the fragments of an idea as it blossoms to its full potential. DADÉ consists of a pair of East Bay-based musicians, Marshall Williams and Nathan Bickart, who perform groove-based improvised music in the back of your work-friends’ sisters’ Halloween party. Bringing the spirit of improvisation into the studio, DADÉ’s debut album captures joyful iterations of spontaneous creation, each song delivering the moment in time and dedicated process that created it. A spiritual relative of the duo’s ‘Lumama’ project; it’s pronounced da-DAY.
DADÉ's new album is available on bandcamp or spotify, or other places music is found.
