Pianist Hadley McCarroll presents a program plumbing the depths of personal histories, and our connection to nature and history’s contrasting landscapes that deeply influence and ultimately frame our lives. Featuring works by innovative NY composers Caroline Shaw (Gustave Le Gray), the youngest Pulitzer Prize recipient, and Stephanie Anne Boyd (Lilac), internationally-acclaimed composer and social justice activist Anthony R. Green (Apology), progressive Czech composer Leoš Janáček (On the Overgrown Path, selections), and Russian chameleon Dmitri Shostakovich (Preludes & Fugues, Op. 87, selections).
