The Cecilia String Quartet, based in San Francisco was formed in 2020 amidst the trying times of the pandemic. Friends who delight in sharing their musical passion got together to explore the old and the new world of chamber music repertoire, delving into works from the baroque, classical, romantic to contemporary.
The quartet has premiered works for Bay Area composers including Dan Flanagan and Davide Verotta, and has collaborated with many guest artists, including pianist Mack McCray, Fabrizio Corona, clarinetist Bruce Foster, and a Bernese Mountain Dog, Placido Yuzoh on vocals.
