Sinatra vs. Darin: Sex, Swagger & Swing

It all started 13 years ago…at the Throckmorton Theatre. That’s when Jonathan Poretz, the Bay Area’s favorite crooner, debuted his show, “Sinatra vs. Darin: Sex, Swagger & Swing.” On Saturday, October 17, Poretz returns to Throckmorton with an all-new edition of his highly acclaimed show.

Performing with Poretz is his ultra-hip and swingin’ four-horn group, seven-piece group, led by musical director Sir Richard Nelson Hall, with arrangements by the Bay Area’s leading orchestrator, Fil Lorenz. 

What Is Sinatra vs. Darin: Sex, Swagger & Swing?

Fans of Sinatra and Darin are as faithful and diehard as they come. You’re either with or against one or the other. Though the two never shared a stage, Poretz brings these two musical icons together, in concert. 

Regardless of whose camp you’re in, prepare yourself for an exhilarating musical evening as Poretz and his ultra-swingin’ Little Big Band, pit Sinatra and Darin classics against each other in a musical Clash of the Titans.
