LOS SILVERBACKS

Los Pinguos & Twanguero are coming back to Mill Valley to present their new musical project, os Silverbacks! Los Silverbacks is an LA based World Music collective, drawing artistic inspiration from the streets of the world.

After many years playing together though Playing for Change collaborations, the Argentinian band, known for their Latin flavored melodies, along with the Spanish artist & guitarist united musical forces last year with Afro Fiesta members, originally from Congo. 

With blends of Latin, Spanish, and African rhythms, their sound transports listeners from Congolese Rumba, through South American cumbia, to Rockabilly, with hints of reggae, marabi and even tango.

Los Silverbacks genre-blurring style make their performances worth the detour for any world music aficionado. Come discover and enjoy their music in concert tonight!

My name is Sam Kraus and I’m a graphic, product, and website designer from the San Francisco, Bay Area. In the past decade, I’ve launched two apparel businesses, designed absurdly soft clothing for an iconic California lifestyle brand, and created eye-catching packaging for an award-winning consumer electronics company. Today, I create brand identities and websites for individuals and small businesses seeking to stand out in their industry. I approach each project with curiosity and patience. My goal is not only to realize the client’s needs but to consider the user’s experience functionally, emotionally, and aesthetically.

I am currently pursuing my interests in architecture, sustainability, and the connection between people and place.
