About the Event

Have you ever wanted to be in a TV series, in commercials or even movies? Acting for the camera can vastly differ than acting for the stage, but who says you can't do both? This Stage to Screen Workshop taught by Raquel Nicole Jetè ( international singing performer, actress, musician and dancer) is a great place to start! Many stage actors "crossover" into screen acting and you can learn the techniques necessary to successfully audition and perform on camera. This workshop will focus on emotional expression and honest reactions through the lens, how to perform your auditions ( through video) as well as behind the scenes knowledge of what to expect while on a set. Through lecture, Q & A, exercises, practice play and individual coaching, Raquel will guide you into the world of camera acting!

As a singer, dancer, actress and musician, Raquel Nicole Jetè is the definition of a, "Quadruple Threat!" This East Bay native has performed all over the world including Greece, Spain, Italy, France, Russia and the Caribbean as a singing entertainer. She has also graced the stages of The APOLLO Theater in Harlem as well as The Metropolitan Room - New York, where she headlined her own concert. With acoustic guitar in hand, she composes her own original music and is currently recording her debut EP. Notable Musical Theater shows include: RAGTIME (Sarah) - Throckmorton, AIDA (Aida) - Broadway by the Bay, LEGALLY BLONDE (Pilar) - Cabrillo Theater, KISS ME KATE (Hattie) - 5 Star Theatricals and more!
